Unusually quiet. Not much
arty fire until late in eve-
ning -- sharpshooters more
cautious. Enemy evidently
staggered by yesterday's repulse --
many of their dead lying in
sight of our trenches -- Mor-
tar boats still bombard
the city day & night -- Engineers
at work at night repairing
Moore's Hiberts & Lee's works --
which are much shattered.
